Travel Uniforms
General
Players are responsible for coming to all games and practices in the appropriate gear. The game uniform consists of a home jersey (navy), away jersey (white), navy short, navy socks, shin guards and cleats. Players should bring both jerseys to each game.
Players should wear their practice tee shirts to each practice, and wear shorts and socks of their choosing. All players must have proper soccer shoes (either cleats or turf shoes), shin-guards, soccer ball and personal water bottle at all games and practices.

Distribution of Uniforms
WSSL will provide each U9 player with their first kit when they first join a travel team. A kit consists of a home jersey, an away jersey, shorts, socks and a practice tee. It is anticipated that kits should last players for up to 2 years. Players must purchase any other uniform needs, including replacement or outgrown gear, and lost jerseys, directly from Upper 90.
Each player will be assigned a jersey number which he/she will keep from season to season. Jersey numbers are unique across both East and West teams in order to allow for the movement of players between teams; if a player moves teams (from East to West or from West to East), the jersey number goes with him/her.
Parents will be given an opportunity to purchase additional shorts, socks and practice tees, if desired. All families are encouraged to purchase a few official extra items through Upper 90: a WSSL Travel backpack, a Red Bulls/WSSL hooded sweatshirt and a NYRB ball, etc.
Coaches and Managers
WSSL will provide 1 coach's shirt to each coach and assistant coach. Like the player uniforms, coach's shirts are intended to be worn from season to season. Replacement shirts are the responsibility of the coach.
Team managers will be issued 2 extra jerseys (1 home and 1 away) for game emergencies. These jerseys will be kept by the team manager or coach and should not be given to any player as a replacement jersey, other than for the purpose of a single game. Players must replace lost jerseys at their own expense (by using the Upper 90 ordering link above).
WSSL does not provide uniforms for futsal or any other non-WYSL match. Travel teams may choose to use their WSSL Red Bull uniforms for these other matches so long as all players own or borrow uniforms. Where a team consists of Core or other non-travel players, WSSL will not furnish travel uniforms to these players; those players would need to purchase kits from Upper 90. Coaches/managers may loan the extra jerseys for a single game, but these extra jerseys should always be retained by the coach or manager and should not be given to a player to keep.
Given the cost of the travel kits, our official policy for futsal, tournaments, etc, is for travel teams to use the kits provided by the sponsoring organization. For example, New York Futsal provides full kits (in addition to tee shirts) to teams that request them.
