Training, Clinics & Camps
Camps
Many of our WSSL players have improved their skills during summers by attending specialized soccer camps. For many years, our players have recommended the camps and skills classes listed below. And we're always looking for more recommendations - please send us your favorites!
Please contact the camp directly if you decide to enroll your child. Please also let them know you are a West Side Soccer family - the camps value their relationships with our league.

Scholarships
For those of our families in need of financial help, the camps have generously donated scholarships to qualifying WSSL families. Transportation is included in the scholarship for out-of-town programs. Please do not imagine that your child needs to be a soccerstar to qualify for a scholarship; we are looking for good sportsmanship and a love of the game!
If your child would like to apply for one of the scholarships, please send us a letter that includes the following information:
1. Child's name, telephone number, date of birth, and soccer experience
2. Name and telephone number of his/her 2007 Fall Coach (please also indicate WSSL division)
3. Evidence of financial need. In particular, the relevant sections of your 2007 tax return or other tax document. If the parents are married but filing spearately, we must see both income tax returns in order to consider your child for scholarship.
4. Your preferred camp and week of attendance; please bear in mind that we may not always be able to honor your first choice, so we welocme indications of your back-up choices.
5. A letter of recommendation from someone who knows the child is not essential, but will be welcomed.
Please mail your applications for scholarships to (and please not change of address from last year)
