Field Layout
Equipment Storage: Large storage container just inside and to the left of the entrance NOT near the playground. The container is secured by a combination lock. Coaches must obtain the code from their Division Head.
Inventory: 8 pairs of Pugg goals (and a few spares) and cones. A pair of Pugg goals shares a custom Pugg storage bag.
How to set it up: Pugg goals are activated on a spring-like mechanism. They generally POP out of their bags. Cones are used to mark the corners of each lined field. Each team will play two mini games and must set those fields before playing. VERY IMPORTANT: Black trash bags from the container should be set up in the available trash cans and/or tied to the fence.
How to break it down: All Pugg goals must be paired off and stored in their respective storage bags. Each Pugg goal is held at its points and twisted gently to achieve a perfect fold. If you feel that you are forcing it, start again or ask someone to help. Some folks have a knack for this kind of mechanism and some do not. Please handle the goals with care so they can last the full season. Pugg goals may NOT be left in the container open and strewn about (it sounds obvious... but...). All lost and found -- balls, sweatshirts, etc -- must be stored neatly in the storage container. A large box of black plastic bags is available for storing random items. Cones must be stacked neatly and left on the shelves. The container must be locked -- tug the lock a few times to be sure. Once all is secure, the closing coach must call the Division Head in charge to communicate that all has been taken care of properly.
Don't forget the trash! (THIS IS A BIGGER ISSUE ON KANTOR THAN ON ANY OTHER FIELD!) NOTE: There are black garbage bags that need to be placed in the available trash cans, oil drums or tied to the fence.) Every team is responsible for cleaning up after their game. Beverage containers, snack wrappings and boxes, etc. should be placed in nearby trash receptacles. Don't forget your sweatshirts, etc. Any lost and found items should be given to a coach willing to reunite the item with its owner. Following the final game, the closing teams should do a quick sweep of the field and make sure the trash has been disposed of properly.
If there are ANY safety concerns please contact your divisional equipment director and the Regional Safety Director immediately.
